What actually makes a home smart
Lighting, climate and access on one controller, and the wiring decisions that matter.

Lighting, climate and access on one controller
A smart home is not a pile of app-controlled gadgets. It is one system that knows the state of the building, so a single action — leaving the house — can lock the doors, drop the air conditioning and switch off the lights that were left on.
The wiring decisions that matter
- Neutral at the switch. Most smart switches need one. Retrofitting it later means opening walls, so it is worth checking before anything is ordered.
- A wired backbone where you can. Wi-Fi is fine for a lamp and wrong for a door lock.
- Local control. Scenes should keep working when the internet does not.
We design around the building first, then choose devices that fit it.
